Mido Sushi Bistro & Bar

I had my 30th birthday party here last night. I wanted to bring everyone to the casino, but I was sick of all the restrictions surrounding reservations at the casino. Instead we decided to go to Mido. We were a party of 20, they put us in our own private area we were very comfortable and were able to watch the sushi being rolled. They easily accommodated us by splitting the checks for anyone who requested it. They quickly took our order and delivered the food. The fish was fresh and delicious. I had the Kani salad, it was light fresh and spicy. The crab rangoons were crispy and perfect. For my entree I got the ahi tuna crunch roll. It was one of the best sushi rolls I’ve ever had. The fish was so fresh. For my cocktail I got the lychee martini. I ended up ordering 3 before I left it was so sweet and perfectly mixed. They delivered our cake, they didn’t charge us any service fee or plate fee, they even provided us candles because we forgot to bring them. While unsuspecting from the outside, the inside was stylish and warm. I especially liked the bamboo sushi bar. The entire experience was a breeze, the food was easily as good if not better than any of the sushi restaurants in the casino (I’ve been to all), way more reasonably priced, and the staff valued our business more than any restaurant at the casino would. I will definitely be returning. I was blown away by the food and the service, it is a 1 minute drive to the casino winter lot. I would give them more stars if I could.

The sushi here is absolutely incredible, with fresh ingredients and expertly crafted rolls that burst with flavor. Every bite feels like a culinary experience. On top of that, the customer service is outstanding—staff are friendly, attentive, and go above and beyond to make sure your dining experience is perfect. Highly recommend!

Took my family out for dinner and our experience was 5*. Waitress was friendly and attentive. Food was amazing. Our son loved the house lo mein. The Shrimp tempura batter was light and crispy and the rolls were awesome. We also got the Crazy roll, spider roll, volcano roll and hot mama rolls. We'll be back for more. Nice portion sizes. Lovely waitress.

Look no further for a great deal and good sushi. I stop by here a few times a month to get their 3 rolls for 16 deal. It ends up being about 20 with tip. So many options to choose from. What I love is you can order it online before pickup without having to call. I’ve always felt great after eating and the 3 rolls are perfect portion for someone looking for a good size meal. Dining in is present as well. I’ve only done it for lunch time but wouldn’t hesitate to go here for an evening out. Always welcoming when you come in. Best value sushi in norwich! In the photos I usually get a spicy tuna, spicy salmon, & Dynamite rolls.

Every December a group of friends and I get for a Birthday Dinner. We loved this place so much it is our second here. The staff did an awesome job with 18 of us. They were on top of our needs. The food was all amazing. Everyone was super happy with their meal and drinks. I highly recommend their lychee Martini; they have Sapporo on draft which is also great. They have great sushi options. Their Udon noodles are also great. We will certainly be back on our own and as a group.

My parents went here for a date today and brought home delicious food- I got to have an order of karaage that came with a lemon slice and spicy mayo- It was so delicious!!! I've always felt anywhere that includes lemons with their fried meats truly understands how to make tasty chicken. If the cold (and then reheated) treats are this delicious, I can only imagine how much better it is in person. I hope to come visit in the future, I really enjoyed my dinner tonight!

From the moment I sat down at the bar, I was welcomed like a regular. The staff gave genuinely thoughtful recommendations, and every one of them was a hit. The cocktail was perfectly mixed and refreshing, served in a unique glass that just added to the atmosphere. But the real star? The sushi. Beautifully plated, fresh, and bursting with flavor — each bite was balanced and elevated, especially the jalapeno-topped roll that was recommended by the bartender. I would’ve never picked it myself, but it ended up being the highlight of the night. The ambiance is cozy but vibrant, with great lighting and an inviting setup. It’s clear they care about the details — from presentation to customer service. Highly recommend asking for suggestions here — they know their menu and love what they do. Mido Sushi has easily become my new go-to spot when I want something memorable. Can’t wait to come back!

I went for Valentine’s Day and i had the best dinner. Norwich maki and 2025 roll was AMAZING. And the vibes were soo good. She is the best waitress she made our night so special!!!!!!! Will be back very soon - absolutely loved everything about this restaurant.
